Career Transition
“Working with Terry gave me a totally new perspective on how I was approaching my job search, and what I needed to change in order to land a senior role that was meaningful. After working with her I felt more powerful and well-equipped to get what I wanted. I was interacting with people in an entirely different way - as a leader and colleague instead of a job-seeker. The end result speaks for itself.”

“When Terry videotaped our mock interview session, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw it. I had no idea my responses were so unfocused. I assumed I had great interviewing skills (I didn’t) – seeing that video was the knock on the head I needed to realize that I wasn’t doing myself justice. We worked on polishing up my responses, and within three weeks I landed a job in the industry I was targeting. I have since had three promotions and have been actively recruited by headhunters.”

Mid-Life Career Crisis
“Having been a successful sales executive for most of my career, I knew I worked best with a clear focus and a definitive plan. When I decided to shift industries into the high tech arena, Terry helped me formulate and execute a solid plan for change – she held me accountable for it and it paid off. I’ve been VP of Sales for a start-up firm for over three years now, and it’s a complete success story. I’m thriving, and so is the company.”
- Sales Director, Software Development Company, Westford, MA
“Up until a few years ago, I would have characterized my career as a very successful one. For various reasons, the last two positions I held didn’t work out and my confidence was at a low point. I found it very difficult to gain momentum, and I was seriously considering jobs that I knew would not be a good fit. Terry helped me identify the essential criteria necessary for me to be successful and happy, and she raised my awareness to the nuances of how I was articulating who I was. Although my stubborn nature resisted at first, she pushed me to change what I said when speaking with networking contacts and potential employers, and everything. I landed, not only a great position, but with a company that whose products and services I respect and feel in sync with. I’m happier than ever, and we had an outstanding last quarter.”

Executive Coaching
“When the CEO at my firm suggested I meet with an executive coach, I agreed but didn’t like the idea. I knew I was at a point where my job might be in jeopardy because I wasn’t fitting into the culture – it was obvious. One other big problem was my relationship with one of the managers that reported to me – he was an abrasive guy and we didn’t see eye to eye. One would think that he needed the coach, not me, but I did realize that I was showing a temper once in a while. Since I didn’t want to leave the organization, I agreed to give coaching a try. It turned out that Terry helped me look at things more clearly and to separate the emotions out of the equation. Once I understood how my assumptions and behaviors were contributing to the problem, I was able to change the way I interacted with this particular manager and our relationship became more honest. Terry became a trusted ally for me and helped me look at situations objectively. I was very impressed with how she handled confidentiality, even when pressed by the CEO to share what we talked about – she wouldn’t betray my confidence. I am pleased to say that the coaching process with Terry helped tremendously. I am still at the same firm one year later and thriving.”

Real-Time Career Issues
“Having English as my second language, I initially needed help understanding some of the nuances of communicating and working within American corporate culture. Frankly, I was struggling with the politics. Terry was honest, direct and non judgmental, yet she gave me the feedback that no one else would give me. She was there for me when I had a major conflict with a previous boss, coaching me through very difficult meetings and decisions. Now I am living in Atlanta, working for a great company, a great boss and making the money I deserve. I still have a coaching meeting with Terry every quarter, just to keep my career on a positive track and anticipate problems before they turn into huge issues.”
